Gurnee Area Spring Extravaganza:

Bach, Beethoven and Friends: Music's Comically Abridged History

We had a gala of fun and entertaining presentations and performances,

Including the Baroque era (Left)

and the Classical era's Puppet show featuring Mozart and Haydn (right)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We also had a special guest in our time traveling adventures, Kim Sopata (Left and incognito)

 

and special congratulations to Laura Gutantes and Samantha Satzger on winning the student voted ensemble award (Right) for their amazing rendition of the Renaissance!

 

 

 

 

 

All of which was brought to a rousing and uproarious conclusion with a Flute Choir musical summary of the time traveling adventure (below)

March 23, 2003 Matthew Wright performed the Concertino by Cecile Chaminade at Preston Bradley Hall in the Chicago Cultural Center as part of a Winner's Recital for the M.Y.A. concerto competition. Matthew won the category of Other Instruments. He is a sixth grade student in Gurnee.
